Everything You Need to Know About Exhibiting at the Texas Science and Engineering Fair in Round Rock, Texas

Are you interested in exhibiting at the Texas Science and Engineering Fair (TXSEF) in Round Rock, Texas? This event is a great opportunity for businesses, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations to engage with top international talent in high schools. The fair will take place on March 22-23, 2024 at the Texas A&M University Student Recreation Center. Here is what you need to know about exhibiting at the TXSEF.

Judges Needed

The TXSEF requires more than 350 judges for over 20 categories covering engineering, life sciences and physical sciences. If you are looking to become a judge, you can contact the Society for Science for more information.

Exhibitors

Businesses, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations are all eligible to be exhibitors at the TXSEF.

If your organization is looking for a unique way to engage with top international talent in high schools, the STEM College & Career Fair held at Regeneron ISEF is your chance to do so.

Scholarships

The fair also awards scholarships to Texas 4-H, FFA and FCCLA students who won or participated in specific juvenile cattle contests held during the Texas State Fair. Eligible seasonal staff are those who completed at least three years of seasonal employment as of January 1 of the year in which the scholarship will be awarded and who worked an average of 20 hours a week during the previous fair.

Austin Nature & Science Center

The Austin Nature & Science Center offers a variety of exhibitions and educational, scientific and artistic programs throughout the year. The Forest Trail is a self-guided exhibit of forty-five trees planted and maintained throughout the site to encourage the selection of native trees appropriate to Central Texas landscapes.

Peggy Sloan Memorial Scholarship

Peggy Sloan was an outstanding female leader who served as vice president of exhibitions at the Texas State Fair. The Peggy Sloan Memorial Scholarship is awarded to applicants who are graduating from a Texas high school, with preference to those who enroll in a natural science curriculum related to agriculture or that benefits agriculture at a Texas college or university.

Benny Clark Memorial Scholarship

Benny Clark was a prominent leader in the Texas agricultural community and served as Vice President of the Department of Agriculture (26% Livestock) at the Texas State Fair.

The Benny Clark Memorial Scholarship is awarded to applicants who are graduating from a Texas high school, with preference to those who enroll in a natural science curriculum related to agriculture or that benefits agriculture at a Texas college or university.

Round Rock ISD Senior Gold Card

The Round Rock ISD Senior Gold card is available to residents and retirees of the Round Rock Independent School District who are 60 years of age or older. Senior Gold Card holders have free general access to Round Rock Independent School District sporting events open to the public. Sports tickets for all high school and high school events held on the campuses and facilities of the Round Rock Independent School District are sold online through Hometown Ticketing.
